Who Do You Think You Are? Marianne Faithfull
/Before watching this episode, I didn't know much about Marianne Faithfull. Pop-singer and girlfriend of Mick Jagger during the "Swinging Sixties," Marianne came crashing down in the 1970s and became a homeless heroin addict. But when she begins exploring her ancestry, she discovers incredible things about her past, mainly her half-Jewish mother's experience in the theatre of the Weimar Republic and the aftermath of World War II on Vienna. Despite the suffering her mother and grandparents endured, she comes away with a feeling of gratitude and appreciation for her family's history.
